Hi Willem,
Honestly, I am a bit of a neet freek when it comes to my computer and
files. For example, take the Windows start menu. If you install
everything to the default location your start menu will eventually
become an unsorted mess with 40 or 50 pull down menus.
Ok, in my start menu I have all of my pull down menus organised to
catagory like
under the start menu home and office catagory
I have quicken, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader, etc...
Then, under the start menu Programming and Development catagory I have
Visual Studio, Python, DirectX SDK, .Net SDK, etc...
Anyway, when installing I like to have all of my programs installed in
the Program Files directory under company and then organised by product.
Do I need to do these things. No, but it certainly makes files and menus
easier to fine, and everything is sorted so someone can find what they
want very easily.
