I have heard that for those that don't like the dotnet ides there is devsharp. Also there is textpal and ed sharp from empowermentzone.com which are free and opensource. I have not tried edsharp but textpal seems accessible. ONly thing is you probably would have to do all the syntax checks within the vb ide. saying that though, I suppose if someone knew ruby or whatever language edsharp is in, textpal is ruby, it could be added.
