Hi Nicol, Not true. At one time resetting your system clock could defeat allot of timed demos. However, that is no longer possible with most timed demos. A skilled programmer can easily compare the date/time the game was last run with the current date/time. If the clock shows a time before the game was previously run the demo can be setup to do allot of things like expire early, refuse to run until the clock is correctly reset, and give the end user allot of nasty names. However, this is often defeatible if the end user knows where those values are stored, and can overwrite those values resetting the demo to a new start time. That is why it is safe to have a backup security system like locking out some areas of the game even though it is being timed.
