Hello susan.

I've tried a few, but the problem is that Hal is determined to read lines of
text rather than simply the letter symbols, making examining the screen very
slow.

The one I got on best with (it being mored windows, and therefore more Hal
friendly), was Adom http://adom.de/

I've recently got hold of a moderately old (but stil hopefully workable),
Braille display though, and one thing I'm very much looking forward to with
that is trying out Roguelikes, sinse obviously then I can get the physical
layout of each line rather than hal saying plussplussplusspluss etc.

I'll lete everyone know how this goes when I've tried it.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
