Hi Nicol, There is a big difference between physical pain and horror. The character in Shades of Doom is in physical pain because he was either shot, bitten, punched, bla. In Sarah's case if she is touched by a gost it is doubtful the ghost causes real pain, but she screams in horror and disgust. I'm not sure about the Trolls and Dragons and Sarah, but most things don't actually hurt Sarah. Just scare her. As for Harry's case I would suspect it is a case of both. The books definitly state that the scar on his forehead is painful. However, he gets to see Voltimort killing people etc which would have n element of horror to it. So he is probably experiencing pain and horror both.
