Hi Shaun, Quote I used to do that tom but with your ships spread out, I need to go to a starbase just to put em all together. End quote
Not true. You can asign one shipt to be your lead vessel, and have all the other ships autopilot to it and once they get near to the lead ship you can reform the group into some sort of tactical formation. Generally, it is good to put the lead ship on impulse while the other ships are forming up on it. Once they are in sensor range but not docked you can then launch your invasion plan upon the enemy races. Basically, instead of using a starbase as your focal point for regroup begin thinking of individual ships as the axis from which you launch your attack or counter attack. Quote problem being is that now my bases get hit first. End quote Right. That is because your fleet is probably close to your starbases. If you have your ships a few light years out the enemy ships will generally attempt to swarm attack your fleet. You might lose a ship in the initial invasion, but if you can get off to a good counter offensive the enemy will be chewed up before they ever get into range of your bases. At that point the bases should be able to finish off the remaining elements of the enemy strike group. --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org.
