Hi AC,
I don't know if the ooriginal Tomb Raider game is available for cell
phones, but there are certainly Tomb Raider games available. I know
there is Tomb Raider orisis codex and Tomb Raider Quest For Cinnabar
available for cell phones. I also heard that Tomb Raider Legend, volume
7 in the game series, was ported to the cell phone as well. I've heard,
but not seen, Tomb Raider Anniversary, which is an updated version of
Tomb Raider, is suppose to be coming out for the cell phone.
As far as accessibility goes I've tried TR Legend and TR Anniversary on
my PC and both were extremely unaccessible. The new Legend engine Edos
is using is far more difficult to use than was the one they used for
Last Revelation, Chronicals, and Angel of Darkness.
One simple example of this is the menus. In Last Revelation while in the
menus you would hear foot steps while you moved the curser keys around.
You count those steps to figure out exactly where you were in the menu
and listen to sounds to see if you picked the correct option. Guess what
Legend's menus have no sounds or indication of where you are.
Also the new training levels in Lara's mantion have become practically
impossible to play if you can't see. For example you might have to push
a button on the wall, jump up, pull a picture away, type in a security
code, unlock the safe, and get the gun and ammo, all with in 10 seconds
or so. Well, if we can't see what we are doing we are bound to get
perminitly stuck at that point.
These are just small examples of areas of accessibility that is
hopelessly frustrating, and one reason after Monte and Raceway are
finished I want to do my own TR game.
