Hi Nicol.
To locate doors I do some of the below.
1. I turn the object detector on by hitting O.
This does not work in rooms with a lot of stuff but it does work well in
corridors.
2. As I am walking down a corridor and hear a snore getting close I start to
hit the enter key every second or two.
When I hear the door open I stop and go back a bit or just turn into it.
3. I also hit the x key every few seconds and when it says the name of the
door I know I am usually close enough to hit enter to open it.
4. Before turning I suggest hitting the f key to remind you which direction
you were heading.
5. You can mark all the doors you explored so the mark will let you know you
do not need to check that door out again.
I think control r does that without a penalty.
