Hi Thomas, That's exactly the problem! There's really not much fun stuff for a blind person when away from the PC. All my friends are complaining that that's all they get from sighted people for Christmas, iether music, clothing or audio books, and let's face it, for me at least I can only listen to a book once, and music you can't interact with! This one girl at uni with me always says that making lots of money isn't as much fun for a blindy, grin, because you can't go and buy fast cars or fun gadgets that are totally accessible! I even look at myself and can't really decide what's cool for Christmas that I'd really like that isn't computer related. I've always been blind, so am not fascinated by colours, fashion or clothing. You could probably buy something if you like outdoor activities like camping or playing music or that stuff, but I can't remember when last I've been able to get something fun that I don't use with the PC. The problem is doing the looking around, I mean, do you go to toy shops, and then, how do you explain to the people exactly what you're looking for? You even look at the blogs for blindies that suggest Christmas presents and they're all suggesting these borring, practical things like daisy book players or a JAWS SMA, the accessible fun topic is really always out of focus.
