Hi shaun, I thought you were on the AGRIP list as well, in which case, you'd have also gotten Matthew's announcement of the latest RC and where to get it… I'm sure I've seen you there for at least a year now. <smile>
And, just to be clear, the link hasn't changed a bit from at least two and a half years ago which makes it a bit easier for peeps to find. Anyway, you can visit: http://www.agrip.org.uk -and the latest ver is in Downloads… -And, as with every other Windows release I know of for the past two and a half years, you don't need to compile anything… As far as the bug fixes and new features, <smile> once again, love, I always am very clear in the docs and in my initial notes to the list for new releases, about important fixes and features. So I'll be sure and let you know when that lil precache bugaboo is fixed, K?… kiss kiss, and enjoy the game!… Smiles, Cara :) On Feb 8, 2008, at 3:29 PM, shaun everiss wrote: > where does one get the latest aq version, the last I heard the > windows one had issues compiling. > Also is the sound cache bug in jq fixed so we can play that in > single player mode? > Or is there an sp version. > At 10:33 p.m. 8/02/2008, you wrote: >> Hey All, first off, sorry for the cross-posting but I thought peeps >> would be interested in this. >> >> I've been burning a bit of the midnight oil as it were, and have >> just released Jedi Quake 4.2 which is a MAJOR BUG FIX* to allow the >> mod to work with the latest RC (.3.0) of Audio Quake so that >> now, players running the mod can connect to servers. >> >> The non-standard player eyes model warning is still present, but it >> is harmless and shouldn't cause any problems for the moment… >> >> I'll give the direct link for the latest update below, but first: >> >> *** VERY IMPORTANT *** >> >> When downloading this file, for users of Internet Exploder, uh, I >> mean >> Explorer, lol! in your save as dialogue, if the file name is set to a >> zip file extension; >> >> • first, in the file types selection, select the 'all files' option >> >> • then rename the file extension back to .qmod >> >> this way the file will be able to install the way it should, without >> Windows trying to interfere… >> >> Okay, here's the direct link. >> >> http://tbrn.net/modgirl/JediQuake42.qmod >> >> I'll be updating my website over the weekend to reflect this, as >> well as checking into the tbrn situation to see how the server is >> fairing.
