Nickel, suggesting game ideas is a good thing, but Tom's already mentioned the copywrite issues that any of these game suggestions would involve. Pluss, while some of your suggestions like batman seem reasonable projects for a game, I can't imagine how the heck someone would make an exciting game based on the musical showboat, or a film like free Willy. It might be possible with some creative design, ----- but goodness knows how.
Might I suggest that thinking of game mechanics and design ideas could be a more helpful and interesting line of discussion on this list? you could think about a good control system for a stratogy game, a new way of audio navigation, a design for a sports game we haven't had, something you'd like to see in 2D side scrollers etc? That would be much more helpful to our devs I think than sending lots of one liner "is it possible to create a game based on" messages, ---- especially when those ideas are very much copywrited as tom explained.
