Well, I think it really depends on how skilled a SOD player you are. If 
you are an extremely skilled player it doesn't really matter how often 
you save. if you are really a skilled player at the game level 9 will be 
a cakewalk. if not then it will be difficult.
Most of the time I save often just to have a place to restore from 
incase I lose. At the difficulty levels I play at like Today is a Good 
Day to Die it doesn't allow for many mistakes. So it is handy to be able 
to jump backinto the game where I left off. At lower levels like Can I 
Play Daddy I don't save often because it is a cakewalk for me.
In any case it your choice. Only you can decide if you need to save or 
not. One of those things you need to think about and decide on your own.
