this confused me a litle first off until i worked things out as well.
Holster your weapon, (press D), then jump onto the rope and climb until
Angela says "looks like a dead end" then jump right and you'll here a
crumbling ledge sound which indicates you've landed on the upper ledge. then
walk right to the statue.
