These days, if I'm ever going to do any major muckings about with the system, I'd setup a restore point as matter of course, just in case something goes wrong and I need to system restore. If my computer has a problem and I can't find an immediate solution myself, system restore tends to be the first thing I try on a general basis. Beware the grue!
