Yes, Checkers is known as Draughts over here, and yes, it does exist on one
of the collections from azabat software, ---- volume 4 I believe along with
backgamman and connect 4.
see http://www.azabat.co.uk/ for details.
As to the database though, one thing you can do is search for types of games
using the search function. If you were looking for scrabble for instance,
you can search for word games, ---- or if you were looking for monopoly try
searching for traditional games.
As regards not all games being in the database, certainly the vast majority
are, and new ones are being added fairly regularly, ----- I added several
entries (including bgt), just yearday for instance.
However michael, I do find it rather irritating at the least that I take the
time to play a game, write a review, possibly hunting down links to
resources such as audio reviews or documentation along the way, and add it
to the database, then you would rather pepper the list with easily
answerable questions than use it.
I'm sure Phil would say the same with regards to the pcs games list.
Beware the grue!
Dark.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] accessible checkers
Hi Michael,
There is one scrabble game from,
Steve Crawford's Azabat Software.
http://www.azabat.co.uk/
strategy games:
Backgammon, Dominoes, Draughts (Checkers) and Scrazabat, an accessible
clone of Scrabble.
I think Checkers is named Draughts in great Brittan.
I don't list all of the accessible games ever made, only the ones I think
are still available.
There were plenty of DOS and early Windows games that were discontinued
and or abandoned.
Phil
