Well, in terms of number of playable games I'd still say your best bet
would be the Play Station 2. However, those are rapidly being replaced
by the Play Station 3, and I'm not sure exactly how many PS3 games are
playable from a low vision/blind standpoint. MK verses DC is, and a
few other fighting games in that style, but it sounds to me that isn't
exactly what you are after.
>From the sound of your message mentioning Top Gun it sounds like you
are after something classic arcade? If so I honestly have to say the
arcade game style has pretty much vanished around the 1990's. Now,
days console games, big name console games, are mostly live action RPG
games, first-person or third-person shooters, hand-to-hand fighting
games, and of course sports games. I can't think of a single new
arcade game for XBox or Play Station. For arcade stuff Nintendo seams
to market to that kind of group and I know they are working on a new
Mario Brothers release for 2011. As far as how accessible Nintendo's
arcade games are I couldn't say.
