how these pro modes work is, expert is a full representation, note for
note, of the song. however keep in mind they really can't package a full
size 88 keys keyboard in a box for purchase, well they probably can but
it'll be really expensive lol, so in rock band you'll play the right hand
portion of the song. it's basically a Keytar, and you could even wear it as
such with the included strap, which I actually find really cool. since
guitars are way more portable, you do get real guitar though. as you drop
down in difficulty, things get a bit easier. chords and some notes are
removed etc, however what you do play are accurate notes found on the actual
song. if you were to play it on a real keyboard/guitar, it would be pitch
accurate. make sense? Keyboard now costs $70, which means I'll have to get
this by Christmas for sure. perhaps even sooner! Clement you said you were
interested in the fender strat coming out next year. It comes out march 1st,
2011, and preorders start January 1st. The guitar itself will retail for
$280. since the guitar is not console specific, you'll need to buy the
adapter for your console separately, which will cost you $40 I believe. also
you can't play regular 5 button guitar/bass with this strat. Start saving up
if you want it!

Dunno... haven't played it myself. I don't have enough to shell out for
it... but I do know that it's a fully functional keyboard... so I would
assume easy is a bit harder than guitar... but if you already play
keyboard, just go to pro mode and play it like you'd play the song on real
keyboards.
