Avg is the same, it just does an auto scan and munch of any viruses on the system, not to mention having a rather handy link scanner to stop you getting viruses in the first place, pluss it does a very good job with spyware and rootkits.

I also am a huuuuge fan of their pc tune up program which fixes registery errors, defrags your harddrive, deletes junk files, optimizes the net and does such other handy tasks, ---- even though my computer is now over three years old, thanks to pc tune up it's running actually faster than it was when I got it despite having a rather full hard drive and not having any nasty crashes or errors.

Anyway, this is getting ot so I'll stop.

Beware the grue!

With most virus checkers, they put a scan for virus in the context menu. So go to the folder you want to scan and hit application key and see if you have a scan option. Another thing you can try is rout jaws to pc after opening up norton. then see if you can left mouse the scan button.

Hi everyone I got a message on my computer saying a threat has been detected and to do a virus scan. At the moment I'm running Norten but have never needed to open it, but now when I go to do a scan it shows up as being not very accessible for Jaws. It says to navigate use tab, but when I try it Jaws only says "Tab" and nothing else. I'm frightened the threat is with a game or has gotten into one, but how do I check all my games folders if Jaws won't work with Norten. I tried Avast too but with the same result. I need a high-tech brain to help me with this one and while I know my family would do it for me I'd rather find a way to do it myself. I'd be glad of any help. Thanks from Lori
