I'm getting the same problem.
On the first fire pit i'll be about 6 steps from the pit and can here it on
my right, and when I press control, shift, right arrow she just takes one
step forward.

Hi Ryan,
When using the running-jump commands Angela will run up to the trap,
and jump it as soon as she is near the fire pit, lava pit, chasm, etc.
However, if she isn't near a trap she will run as normal.
