Hi William, That's precisely why I don't give release dates myself. I know given my hectic schedule that a game will get done when it gets done and no sooner. Trying to put a release date on it only adds a lot of unnecessary pressure to complete it without setbacks, technical problems, and any number of problems that might pop up between the time the developer starts the project and releases it. So no I don't think a developer should give a fixed release date for a game unless they are absolutely certain they can meet the deadline.
