Oh ok, actually went and checked now and, there is in fact a separate
download link for just the licence file - I'd thought they had included it
in the one zip file with the installation package - sorry, my bad.

When I say the game has been "made freeware" technically what the
developer has done is just stick a generic license key that will unlock
the game up on the site for download. no extra setup file is needed, just
download the key and unzip into your prefs folder (see the link with the
announcement for details).

It was, but terraformers is indeed now freeware.

request" made there was mine, though I actually requested that either
the payment link be reinstalled so that people could buy the game, or
the game be made freeware, but obviously the developer, ---- sinse the
original pin interactive company no longer exists decided to go for
freeware.
Good news for anyone who wants to try the game, sinse it's worth a look
even if it is a little short.
On that score, the developer has said (at least in a mail to me), that
he's not washing his hands of developement entirely and will hopefully
be back when his Phd is done, looking at making something more modern
and more replayable, so though it's freeware, it's certainly not
abandonware.
Beware the grue!
