Was looking for something else completely different when I found

yes dopewars is alive.
THe latest version 1.5.12 has a server mode where you can do multiplayer.
The general mode was not accessable however the text mode is and
there even is a sound fx or 2.
Sertainly its a bit more interactive but who knows.
