Hi Kieth.
gtc stands for gma tank commander, and is another game from Gma games. the
controls are similar to shades of doom, but the setting, and play of the
game are utterly different since your piloting a tank and taking out
choppers, enemy tanks, gun implacements and other military vehicles.
it's equally worth a try, and has great sounds and atmosphere, though i do
rather wish sometimes it had more than six missions since compared to the
length of shades of doom it always feels just a bit short to me, ---- not
really! short, just not the sort of length of shades.
As to audio games more generally, there's lots of stuff out there, but
finding it really isn't difficult.
head over to www.audiogames.net, and www.pcsgames.net, both have extensive
databases and information on all sorts of audio and screen reader accessible
games, ----- indeed the audiogames.net db is currently nearly at 400
entries, and there are still games that need adding.
Hth.
all the best,
Dark.

Subject: [Audyssey] Shades of Doom...what is GTC?
Hi, what is GTC?
I'm kind of new to the audio game world. I've played trivia games from
Jim Kitchen, and the games from Babisoft, but other than that, I'm totally
at a loss. Been a member of this group for a while.

Hi, I'd say it is well worth the money! It's my favourite accessible
shooter game, and has amazing replay value. There's also loads you can
do with the cheat codes, and quite a few different ways to play the game.
It also has a very good help system built into the game, just like Sarah
and GTC.

Hi Keith,
Definitely. Shades of Doom is one of my favorite accessible games. Its
one of the first games to truly explore the first-person shooter format
by cloning a game like Doom by ID software and making it available in an
audio only format. Of course, don't take my word for it and play the
demo yourself. That's the only way you'll know if its worth the $35 to
you personally.
Cheers!

Hi everyone. thanks for the pricing info on shades of doom. My next
question, to those who have played it, is it worth the $35.00?
Thanks
