Hi Paulette
the issue is that even though the books are about games, your still
essentially discussing books, not gameplay, game availability etc, and with
the amount of traffic on list, if people started discussing books we'd
quickly get overwhelmed.
i love discussing books as well, and indeed for myself considder reading
next to oxygen, ---- which is indeed why lack of book availability in this
country is such a pain in the rear, however for reasons of clarity it's best
to keep off list.
As to the hole books and America thing, well it isn't to say "don't discuss
books ever" (at least not off list), only that your assumption that posting
links to audible, or suggesting people get stuff from nls isn't actually
correct sinse in several parts of the world this isn't possible.
Off list however, feel free to recommend or discuss books as much as you
like, just be aware that getting them might be difficult or even impossible
much of the time.
All the best,
Dark.

Hi Thomas,
Sorry for my last post about books. I sent it before I read your post. I
am
confused though. Since the books are about games, why is the topic
unsuitable for the list?

Hi all,
Please, close this topic immediately. As per the list guidelines this is
way
off topic, and we respectfully ask that you take this topic off the list.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Has anyone read the book, The Manhattan Hunt Club, by John Saul? It is
a great read. It is about a man who is accused of murder, I think, who
is placed in a very real hunting game, under Manhattan. This game is
played by the very wealthy, who are bored and want a new challenge. So
people from the under belly of society are told that they well have
all charges dropped and be left alone, if they can escape. But so far,
nobody has. I don't think that it is on NLS. I know that it isn't on
BARD, but it is on Audible.
Happy
reading.
Paulette
