Who knows, it could be any number of things actually. Perhaps your computer's antivirus is updating itself in the background, another program was taking up extra system resources, or Swamp had a bunch of zombies to calculate that were out of range for you to hear. It's hard to nail down what could have caused it, but I'm quite certain low system resources was the cause of the mouse losing focus. :)
