As I said, i don't remember such a bug myself.

Are you certain you were moving it backwards? what I mean is, the squares are numbers a1/a12, then b1/b12.

so, when you move from the top of the a row, you are on the top of the B row, thus, if you moved a checker one space from a12 it'd be on b12, one more would take it to b11, and so on down the B row.

So, I wonder if perhaps you were looking at the wrong row numbers wise?

There is also an option to have the spaces numbered 1-24 as an alternative if you prefer.

Just a thought.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.

Sorry, I should have been clearer.

I know how to play backgammon. I found that I could move a piece backward
in the game, which is something that shouldn't be allowed.

Hi,
NO, you cannot move backward; that is something that is never done in
Backgammon. As for replacing a piece you've picked up, that's something I've wanted Emanuel to address for awhile now--I find it slightly irritating that
you cannot do so.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Hi.

i can't recall the key to put down a piece once you've picked it up, but it
is a specific key. Also you can't move backwards last I checked.

Hi Dark,

I think I may have found a bug, or maybe I just don't know how to do
something. I f I pick up a piece with spacebar, then realize I don't want
to
move it, I can put it back where it was, but it seems to take one of my
dice
rolls. I also think it can let me move backward. I'll check on both of
those to see if I was merely imagining things, though.

the difficulty does increase.

My only real problem with the game, and it's not really a problem, is that
after choosing starting colours at the start of a match, your pretty much
stuck with that colour however many games you play. For variety I'd rather like to see it alternate myself, or perhaps there be a colour choice after
each match.

This is however a miner issue and I believe Manu will fix it at some
point.

Beware the grue!

Hi Dark,

From what I've seen, it looks to be a good game. I'll grab a copy today.

I'm looking forward to trying it on difficult.

Hi.

Firstly, yes, I have often found players online, especially at times in
the
evening, but obviously the more people perchice the game, the more online
players there will be.

As to the other settings, most distinctly! they are harder. hard I can
beat
sometimes, but expert is really quite difficult, and I haven't yet tried
the
various alternative modes.

In general, pontes backgammon is one of the best put together traditional
games I've seen, with lots of features like background ambience, music
etc,
not to mention laguage packs and even the chance to play with the mouse,
and
I'd encourage nyone to try it, ---- this one really! impressed me.

Beware the grue!

Dark.
