Actually dallas, you can silence the speech, since if you couldn't that
would indeed make the program useless for mudding
Just hitting control is enough to shut sapi up, you can also go to the
speech settings and set various options to do with the priority of messages
as well, and which will interupt, indeed if you can't! silence sapi i'd
guess that something is wonky in your speech priority settings.

All the best,
Dark.

The problem with using SAPI, is that you can't control the speech output.
In the sense that wallets talking, and it has information in the buffer,
you cannot silence it. You must wait for it to finish speaking. This is
not very good for mudding, as there is too much information passing over
the screen.

Hi hunter.
Vip mud outputs to screen readers and doesn't do nvda, in the same way it
doesn't do supernova, however there is an easy alternative, since it will
also output to sapi as well. Just set that in the general settings menue
and it will speak text fine, and it's that that you want.
i found with supernova I could read the screen, but what you want with a
mud client is instant speaking of incoming text, and that you could only
get with sapi, ---- or presumably with jaws and window eyes.

How do you make VIP MUD and NVDA cooperate? I don't own JAWS, or any
screenreader except, and NVDA keeps repeating everything I type when I
press enter. I don't want that happening.
