Soulsteal does work if the mob is still alive, I was only
referencing the mushz-specific config when I said that.

Actually as I recall, soulsteal works when the mob has something
like 1% HP
left. So it can work before the mob is mortally wounded, it's
just that when
it's morted you're most likely to get a soulsteal.

for speaking the text, check in the plugins if mushreader is
installed. It
is needed to speak incoming text.
And now that you mention it, the automatic soulsteal doesn't
work for me
at
all, I already wondered if I did something wrong there. I know
that I have
to have dread portent cast for it to work, but I have cast it
all the time
and it doesn't work nonetheless.
I can't say anything about potion brewing, since I don't have
the skill
yet.
