well I think you will still need the rest of the 2010 redist for dx9
thats not installed by default.
I am not sure about backward compatability with dotnet 5.0 on win8
with other dotnet versions.
maybe tom can tell us what that is about.
I have 4.0 on xp and 4.5 on the win7 system.

tdv... but the game has an error report saying something about could
