Hi Sarah.
if you've read the introduction explaining how you get to the gypsy caravan
with ada and first meet the toymaker, you've already done the clicking on
arrows, (they're labled next page I believe).
Once you actually get to the start of the game propper and have the usual
interface with the camp menue, items, menue, town menue help menue etc and
various options, you can start playing. To begin, you should get three soul
puppets, a soccubus, a psyclopse and a sylph, go to the "creatures" part of
the camp menue to find them, give then names and organize them into a party.
Go and talk to gregor (you can find him under the help menue), to get your
first quest, and I'd also recommend seeing if you can buy a troll egg from
wily the scarecrow since trolls are healers and very usefull in battle.
if your ever stuck in the story or wonder where you need to go to next,
check the "jurnal" option and read it, it'll tell you where to go.
also, note that in puppet nightmares the various information menues are
always available. This is necessary since the game is! undoubtedly very
complex, and you'll likely want to go back to the help menue and reread
different concepts and ideas again, indeed some pages of the help menue such
as that on how to unlock different sorts of soul puppets and when to do
specific side quests you might want to keep checking.
Also, note that there is a lot of mouse over text in the game, especially in
battles. I'm not sure how Nvda handle mouseovers, but you might want to make
certain of that. in supernova I actually had to check the command to
position the mouse pointer at the current curser position without! clicking
a link so that I could go and read the text.
hth, any other questions, please ask, but also bare in mind Puppet
nightmares, while a very fun game once you get into it and involved has a
lot to learn, luckily your not expected to pick up everything in the game
all at once.
All the best,
Dark.
