I think the first text from the toymaker is a bit misleading then, since I'm already in the game and he tells me to continue with the story. But well, I'll try what you said then. The funny thing is, even the journal at this point tells me to click on the arrows I can't even find.
Regarding mouse over text, I think NVDA reads that pretty well if you're positioned on a button or link, so this should be no problem.
