I added the issue after it was reported offline, but after some tests I'm
not able to reproduce it. Apparently, the PATH variable is set properly,
and a chroot used without mounting the home directory is able to run "make
commit-check" on a freshly checked-out source tree, so, the problem was
probably something else.
