This was already added in the initial patch series (documentation see http://git.ganeti.org/?p=ganeti.git;a=commitdiff;h=af18b002f6a0e81a5f03004d124f5b2cec4eb2fd); this patch series only loosens the test for kvm so that this option is not necessary for kvm as other mechanisms took care of that (for the majority of cases). The override was not touched.
