Yeah, I had to blow away all my RRDs too. I don't think its too much to ask, but I agree it should be well publicized.

I have to say that my new-gmetad-test-site (http://heron.sdsc.edu/test-ganglia/) has collected three full days of metrics without any hiccups (other than my restarting gmetad). I had to restart because my gmetad debug output file had reached 3.3G! I had forgotten about it, but my part_max_used ganglia graph reminded me ;).
