Yeah, I had to blow away all my RRDs too. I don't think its too much to ask, but I agree it should be well publicized.

I'll tell you this, though - I'm seeing gaps in both cluster graphs like you wouldn't believe. I don't know what's causing it but I assume it's related to gmetad assuming its data sources are dead so quickly. It can't be an "it's an old version" thing because it happens on both new and old versions...

I have to say that my new-gmetad-test-site (http://heron.sdsc.edu/test-ganglia/) has collected three full days of metrics without any hiccups (other than my restarting gmetad). I had to restart because my gmetad debug output file had reached 3.3G! I had forgotten about it, but my part_max_used ganglia graph reminded me ;).

Using what sources on what platforms? Are they all 2.5.0-linux?

I'm still a little concerned that Solaris gmetad is breaking 2.4.1-linux. OK, very concerned... I might try running 2.5.0 (it's in mute mode after all) on the listen-only node to see if this helps. It sure beats socket debugging. :)

The new frontend looks really nice, I just wish gmetad was behaving itself for me. :(
