guys-
i just got an email from steve saying that solaris looks happy with what
we have in CVS now. unless we hear from steve otherwise, i think we
should release 2.5.0 on monday of next week. i'll try to get the
documentation in order before then.. i know federico has been work hard on
documenting the web frontend (among other things).
hope you have (had) a good weekend.
Aren't you glad you're all hearing from me? [lie and say yes...]
The bad news is that it looks like gmetad died with a bus error at 12:59am
on Saturday (or Friday, technically).
But the good news is it's cuz it filled up the fricken' partition I was
storing the debug output on. :)
[BAHAHAHA! Had you all going, there...]
So I don't know if it's a conclusive test, since it ran for about 10 hours
before crashing due to external factors, but that's considerably better
than it's been in the past (we're talking a crash every 1-4 hours).
To put it another way, the Solaris 8 SNMP daemon gives me more trouble than
gmetad does now, and that's a shipping Sun product. :)
