so you think that explanations of each option is too sparse?  each option
is listed in the example with a short explanation (too short?) and the 
default value.

i was afraid that might have happened.  i wasn't expecting people to work 
with the CVS version of the documentation (besides the developers).  you 
can download the latest documentation (in finished form) from
http://ganglia.sourceforge.net/documentation.php
