I faintly remember some e-mails from that time. I am pretty sure the brave soul (I know him quite well :-) never promised more than to have a look. Definitely no commitments to finishing the stuff up. He had a look, but decided to put the issue aside. "He" probably should have said so at that moment. Maybe I can convince him to setup a 2.6.0 testbed on some non-production cluster to see what can be done.
