Martin, others:

It seems that the stock init.d scripts that ship with the Ganglia RPMs do not
work on SuSE since it depends on /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions. I believe SuSE
specific init scripts are available in the CVS repository.

One way to fix this is to include these SuSE specific scripts in the tarball
and during rpmbuild use a flag to specify we are on SuSE and include the
correct scripts in the RPMs.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Bernard

Hi Chris:

On SuSE, do you have any issues with the init.d scripts? I believe the stock
init script for gmond sources /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions which doesn't exist on
SuSE.

Cheers,

Bernard

I have successfully compiled and spot run these platforms:

HP-sUX PA 11.11
Linux RH40 32b+64b
Linux SuSE9 32b+64b
slowlaris 8,9

BTW, anyone had luck with AIX53?
