Thanks for coming forward to help me out. I have rrdtool installed. I gave the following command systst-zen-133:/var/opt/novell/zenworks/monitor/rrds # rpm -qa | grep rrd* libcom_err-1.38-25.2 libgpg-error-1.0-16.2 SPident-0.9-74.4_SLES_10_i386_current_CD rrdtool-1.2.12-13.2 which shows the version of rrdtool which is installed. Also, I am running gmetad using root so, it must have write permissions to rrd directory. I 've changed the rrds directrory permissions to 777. Also, when I start gmetad I get the following message on the screen and I continue getting it.
