If gmetad is down for a period of time, are all of the gmetrics multicast during that period lost? I realize they are still in gmonds, but how do they get back out to gmetad?
If one wanted to test metric values to see whether they are out of whack, would it be better to read them via ganglia.php, or listen for multicast like gmetad does? Jonathan
