[Ganglia-general] gstat segfault on ia32 Linux ? --- question from a brand new user

I have tried to build from the source ganglia-monitor-core-2.5.1.tar on both
IA32 and IA64 
under RedHat 7.3, and Advanced Server.  No problem on the IA64 side, but
when I try to 
execute gstat on the IA32 side, I have run into 'segmentaiton fault'.
Wonder if this is known 
or if I am doing something wrong.
