Yes - I figured it out... I was thinking the mcast_port in the
gmond.conf was where the gmetad process would look to get the XML info,
but as you said below, it's just for sharing among the other nodes in
that cluster/mcast port. So I have 4 data sources showing up on my grid
and everyone is happy.

As I understand ganglia - the multicast port of gmond.conf is only used
for
groups of cluster nodes to share information using multicast. I never
noramlly change the default

gmetad opens an explicit port on the target node(s). I think that this
is
called 'xml_port' in gmond.conf. I never normally change the default.

The think we do do is change the mcast_channel address in gmond.conf so
that
each cluster has a unique value. This prevents cross-talk when we have
several clusters on the same ethernet switch.
