So, hi all.

First, I have a grid. So far so good. The grid has grid
elements or clusters, 3 to be precise. Each has a name which is
defined in the gmond.conf's for each node as well as the data_source
statement in the gmetad.conf file. And they show up on the Web pages
generated by gmetad as they are defined.

Well, sort of. They did as orginially defined.

But I decided I wanted to change the cluster names; I wanted to
remove some redundancy and make things more clear. Fine. Ganlia
seems to have other ideas. I changed all the gmond.conf's. I shut
down ALL of ganglia on all 3 clusters. I even deleted the old data
from /var/lib/ganglia/rrds for the old names I no longer wanted. I
started everything back up. The old names are still there. All my
work has gone for naught.

Clearly ganglia has those old names stashed away somewhere I
haven't located yet.

Interestingly enough, I did manage to change one of the cluster's
names once. Do you think I can do it twice? Apparently not.

So, any suggestions as to how to change a cluster name or where
that nasty old data is located would be very much appreciated. Thank
you.
