My Ganglia web server is running on a Mac OSX 10.3 box with the standard installation of Apache and PHP. I could upgrade the PHP system if you think it might be necessary.

GD is a graphic generator and is used to generate the piechart portion
of the graphics. I don't see any easy way to see if it's there.

One other thing you might check, can your webserver user read the rrd
files generated by gmetad?

Yes, I do have rrd installed and configured. As far as GD support, I'm
not sure, and actually not even sure what it is. :)
Any way I can check?

I have the ganglia core 2.5.6, but was only able to download the 2.5.5
web frontend, however, none of my graphics are showing up properly.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I am only getting broken
links
instead of images. Is there a 2.5.6 web frontend as well? The
download link on the Ganglia page seems to be broken for the web
frontend.

There is no webfrontend 2.5.6. Do you have rrdtool installed on your
webfrontend machine? Is your web server configured such that it can
find it? Is GD support enabled in you PHP install?
