I have installed gmond 2.5.6 on 8 cluster nodes running Redhat Linux (will add more after I get initial set to work) and a head node also running RH Linux. I have installed gmetad 2.5.6 on the head node. I am able to install gemetad on the webserver (running SuSE Linux) but am having troubles confirming gmetad is running. If I issue ps -e I see 8 or 9 gmetad processes but if I do a chkconfig --list I see gmetad remains off in all run modes, despite my efforts to turn in on (/etc/init.d/gmetad start). Also, the rpm install of the web fron end on the Web server fails, saying a gmetad with level > 2.4 (I think) is required - I assume this error is due to my problems with gmetad on the Web server.
