Dear Prof. Ian Cunningham,
Yes, we have some nodes which are enabled hyperthreading, but not
all. But at the ganglia web interface we see every nodes have 4 CPU,
some nodes only have 1 CPU when we use top command.
Any suggestions?

I would guess that the reason that the nodes report too many cpu's is
because they are intel chips with hyperthreading. When hyperthreading is
enabled from the bios, each CPU shows up as two CPUs to the OS. If you
look at the command top, you will see that the computer thinks it has
twice as many CPUs as you think it has.
