Hi, I'm mostly new to ganglia, and am having a little trouble getting my Solaris 9 nodes to work. They seem to be quite unstable, the gmond processes just die quietly a bunch of the time, but if I run it in debug mode, they stay up and working. However, they don't seem to be reporting to the gmetad nearly as my Linux machines do, meaning they don't seem to update as frequently, if at all.

I've looked through the lists, and didn't see anyone having the same troubles as I am.. I'm using Sun Workshop compilers (CC: Forte Developer 7 C++ 5.4 2002/03/09) to build.

Also, I'm having troubles keeping the clusters seperated, I have a bunch of Sun machines, Linux boxes, and Servers that I want to keep seperate, should I be using different multicast, and different gmetad processes for each, or should a single metad be able to work?

Lastly, I registered and am trying to get a IRC channel working for ganglia, #ganglia on irc.freenode.net. It would be nice to get a bunch of people who know ganglia in there, and I'll try to help out where I can as well to whoever comes in.

Thanks
