The question is: why is my 3.0.1 IA64 gmond crashing on me ?
This is on both Linux RedHat EL3U4 AS and Sgi Altix Sgi Propack 3SP5
The 2.5.7-1 version starts fine.

Try to comment out the disk part in the /etc/gmond.conf. gmond doesn't
likes SGI (or xfs ?) disks. Works for me ...
