I agree with Aaron, you really should upgrade all components to 3.x versions. There is a much greater chance for problems by mixing gmond/gmetad 2.x with webfrontend 3.x. And I can't say for sure if the 2.x webfrontend works well with the newest versions of PHP. Searching through the Ganglia mailing list archives, I found mention of someone who posted deb packages at ftp://ftp.sara.nl/pub/outgoing.
